Ground-mounted without radials. Adjusting the coils was easy and as expected. On 80 meter the bandwith was limited to approximately 50KHz. On 40 meter we got a wider coverage but not the enitire band. Performance compared to the halfwave dipole was noticeable weaker. On “local contacts” 500-700km, it was 4-6 S-points on the meter. (Reports indicated 10-20dB) When we had strong incoming signals it was compared with 18dB attenuator on the receiver.

Better performance on DX is expected and will be tested as soon as propagation allows. Improvements might be better grounding and radials.
